Board MembersLawrence CoolidgeMr. Coolidge is a Trustee of Loring, Wolcott & Coolidge, a professional family office that offers a wide range of highly personalized fiduciary services. Mr. Coolidge joined Loring, Wolcott & Coolidge in 1962. He is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society and the Boston Economic Club. Mr. Coolidge serves on the board of the Seven Islands Land Company, and is an Honorary Trustee of the Boston Athenaeum and the Peabody Essex Museum. Mr. Coolidge is the managing trustee of the George H. and Jane A. Mifflin Memorial Fund, which provided the start-up funding for Massachusetts Public School Performance. Mr. Coolidge and his wife Nancy Myers Coolidge have been very active in various education reform efforts during the past decade. Mr. Coolidge is a graduate of Harvard College and holds a MBA from Harvard Business School. Jean KrasnowMs. Krasnow is currently the Associate Director of Academic Programs for the School of Education at Northeastern University where her work has focused on the development of a teacher preparation program for individuals interested in working in urban schools as well as community service programs for all students at the University. Prior to her work at Northeastern, Ms. Krasnow served in a number of administrative capacities focused on increasing educational opportunities for urban youth, including at the Massachusetts Charter School Resource Center, the Graduate School at Wheelock College, and the Institute for Responsive Education. Ms. Krasnow has also taught history at public high schools in Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts, has served as a faculty member at Wheelock College, and is currently serving on the board of Squashbusters. She is a graduate of Cornell University, holds an MBA from Simmons College, and EdD from Boston University. William PolkMr. Polk recently retired from the Groton School where he served as the Headmaster and taught religion from 1978-2003. Prior to the Groton School, Mr. Polk worked at the Lawrenceville School in a variety of positions including the Chair of the Department of Religion, the Assistant Dean of Students and the Director of Social Service Programs. Mr. Polk has served as a trustee for a large number of nonprofit organizations and is presently on the board of the Fenn School, the Epiphany School, the Cambridge Center for Adult Education and the Cambridge Foundation. Mr. Polk holds a BA from Trinity College and a MDiv from Union Theological Seminary. Normand SmithMr. Smith is a partner at Perkins, Smith and Cohen where he serves as personal counsel to entrepreneurs and scientists in the areas of personal tax planning and the formation and management of businesses, primarily in the high tech and biotech areas. Mr. Smith serves as a Board Member (gubernatorial appointee) of the Industrial Services Program, a quasi-public state agency committed to helping small and medium-sized businesses become active players in world markets while keeping jobs and revenues in Massachusetts. He is a Board Member and former Chair of Pathfinder International, and also served as chair of the Boston Zoological Society and The Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities. A graduate of Hamilton College, Mr. Smith earned his JD and LLM from Boston University Law School. Jonathan KorbMr. Korb presently serves as the general counsel at Loring, Wolcott and Coolidge and has been employed by the firm for the past 17 years working in a variety of tax and administrative capacities. Mr. Korb has an undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Miami, a law degree from Suffolk Law School and an LLM in taxation from Boston University. |
